The UN refugee agency (UNHCR) is pleased with Moldova’s steps towards accession to the two UN Conventions on Statelessness and the preparation of legislation on statelessness determination.
Late last month the Parliament passed laws on accession to the two UN conventions as well as the law on amendment and completion of certain legislative documents which will introduce national statelessness determination procedure.

On January 31, within the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, the Minister Alexei Roibu had a meeting with Mr. Marcus Micheli, Deputy Head of the U.S. diplomatic mission in Moldova, Mr. Gregory M. Winstead, Head of Political and Economic Unit and Mr Jonathan Hayes, political-economic officer of the U.S. Embassy in Moldova.

On the 8th of December 2010, Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) organized the 4th International Donor Coordination Committee meeting with the participation of representatives of diplomatic missions, international organizations and the State Chancellery.
The purpose of the meeting was to review the international donor support activities in 2010, provide an update on the ongoing MIA and police reform process, as well as to outline the MIA’s priorities for 2011.10.12.2010

O femeie, de 60 de ani, din raionul Strășeni a fost pumnuită până la moarte de un consătean. Incidentul s-a produs ieri, 27 decembrie 2011, în satul Codreanca.
În jurul orei 21.30, la Comisariatul de poliție din raionul Strășeni a sunat o doamnă, de 51 de ani, care a anunțat poliția că într-o casă din localitate o prietenă de a sa este bătută cu bestialitate de un necunoscut.28.12.2011 -

Ministerul Afacerilor Interne s-a autosesizat, în urma unei ştiri difuzate de un post privat de telefiziune, în care au fost demonstrate poze cu produse de panificaţie alterate. Mai mult decât atât, în ştire se spune că deasupra primei etichete, care indica data fabricării şi termentul de valabilitate, a fost aplicată o altă etichetă, cu date noi.
